How We Use the Information We Collect

The ISPCP collects Personal Data about you as an individual when you apply for a membership application to join the ISPCP, including your name, email address, and organization's physical addresses. This personal data is required for the purpose of your participation in the Internet Service Providers and Connectivity Providers Constituency (ISPCP) and is collected and retained only so that the ISPCP can contact you for administrative membership reasons and so that you can participate in ISPCP actions and meetings. "Personal Data" refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

When you register your email address on the ISPCP’s website, this information is stored in our membership database, hosted by Memberclicks. Further, the ISPCP’s membership application asks for personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, occupation, business address, and country. This information is also stored and maintained by the ISPCP.

Statistical Information

This information is primarily collected via cookies, and we use the information provided by the cookies to improve our website and services; to monitor our website performance; and to collect demographic data about visitors and members for the purposes of improving our outreach and engagement. This is done by sending anonymized tracking data to third-party applications, commonly Google Analytics. However, this information does not identify the User personally.

To achieve this, the ISPCP is currently beta testing Google Analytics, to track visitor behavior and site traffic. Google Analytics places cookies in order to report to us the demographics data below.

Cookies may provide statistical information such as the date a User reached our site, the computer he or she used, its operating system, where the User came from, where he or she goes upon leaving our website, how the User behaves while on our site, the IP address associated with the User, and by extension of that an approximate geolocation.

By using ISPCP’s website you consent to our use of cookies. This is called “implied consent.” Any User who does not consent to the use of cookies should disable cookies. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

    •    You have consented or asked us to share your information with third parties;

    •    We are using a third party service provider to provide services that involve data processing (Memberclicks), or;

    •    Where it is otherwise permitted by applicable law, or where we are required by law to do so.
